July Feature Topic: Early Specialization vs. Multi-Sport Athletes
First and foremost, a big thank you to all the followers and readers, especially this recent batch who have helped push views to a record high.
I am hoping to continue this engagement and interest with this month's featured topic - early sports specialization and multi-sport athletes, where we will explore: should early sports specialization be demonized? can it be done well? are multi-sport athletes out of the woods in terms of injury and burnout? and what youth coaches and parents need to know about training load and Han Selye's General Adaptation Syndrome.
Here is a list by title:

📊What is Training Load? A Guide for Youth Coaches and Parents
I am also working on A Parent’s Guide to Helping Your Teenager Navigate Sports, and have asked a range of stakeholders (coaches, parents, athletic directors, trainers, etc.) to provide some advice.
Overall, I am hoping that this series, like all other posts, provides insights and actionable ideas for coaches and parents, and all others who work with young athletes.
